“He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into thr kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins” Colossians 1:13-14.
“[The Father] has delivered and drawn us to Himself out of the control and the dominion of darkness and has transformed usninti the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have our redemption through His blood [which means] the forgiveness of sins” Colossians 1:13-14 [AMP].
If you’re in Christ Jesus, then you’re born of God. The implication of this is that, along with other things, you have been delivered from the power of darkness. The power and dominion of darkness have no right of operation in your life- if you are in Christ. Receiving Christ as your savior is not joining yet another religious sect, it’s becoming part of God’s kingdom.
When you’re born-again, you’re transferred from darkness to light; sin to righteousness; from death to life. And its still be grace through faith in Jesus Christ. You don’t have to understand everything about it, just believe it when The Bible says “If any man be in Christ, he is a new creation…” (2 Corinthians 5:17).
Don’t you see? What God did for mankind through Jesus Christ wasn’t behavioral modification by psychoanalysis; it was salvation by grace. Mankind was destined to pay the wages of sin, which is death (Romans 6:23). The second death- Eternal separation from God- was our collective lot. We were all headed for hell in a straight line. But God paid the wages of sin through Jesus Christ. He conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love through a blood sacrifice.
The price for sin has been paid. While we were all sinners, we belonged to the kingdom of darkness. Now, through Christ Jesus, we can belong to God’s kingdom and be reconciled to Him. Now, sin is no longer a problem; all you need to do is receive Jesus and yield yourself to His lordship. Now you don’t have to end up in hell on account of sins, all you need to do is receive Jesus and submit to His lordship.
“For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has nit believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God” John 3:17-18.
Sin has already been subdued and defeated through the Son, Jesus Christ. If you refuse to receive the Son, you’re condemning yourself because you have refused to be rescued from death.
